Hello Tucson!

As we rolled onto the dirt road heading toward Nana's house, Cody rolled down the window and called out, "Helloooo Tucson!" It was my thoughts exactly. We had a great time in Tucson. We saw lots of friends at a reception on Friday and spent Saturday at Sabino Canyon. Sabino Canyon was beautiful. The wildflowers were still in bloom and the creek was running. The weather was perfect for hiking. The kids had a great time playing in the water. We had a great time watching the kids play.

Cait and Riley enjoyed covering their cold legs with the warm sand. It was just like being at the beach.

Colten did not want to leave this rock in the middle of the river.

I don't think I saw Chance sit down once the whole time we were there.

The rocks were a little too slick for princess Anna. She kept her dad close by.

Colten likes his new hiking backpack. He was very content to sit in it for the first little while.
Happy Boy!

Cody and fun go hand in hand.

Look at that toothless grin!

Chance found a reed to use for a straw. Thank goodness he was just blowing through it.
Chance's first expression was, "Oh man, this is gonna be fun!"

SNOW!!!

On our way home from the White Mountains, it started snowing. It created a wonderful silence in the car that we rarely get to hear. It was so peaceful watching the snow come down. We came to an area just outside Show Low with quite a bit of snow (ice) on the ground and had to let the kids give it a go. The kids didn't last long in the cold, but it was fun while it lasted.

Chance only had one mitten, he was really impressed with how red his other had became.
Rain, Shine, or freezing cold, Colten loves to be outside.

Coltens 1st Steps!!!

On February 9th, Colten took his first steps. Aaron decided that Colten needed to walk that night and show off for Uncle Kevin and Aunt Kristyn. You can tell from the video that Colten was just as excited as we were. This video is actually his second set of steps. His first set is on the camcorder and I still haven't learned how to hook that up to the computer. This video is sideways and dark so I know it is hard to watch, but it is still cute. I thought I had flipped it and saved it, but I guess not. I'm still learning with the videos.
